Skin Care Oil

Using oils on the skin is a great way to treat extra dry skin and alleviate rough patches. Essential oils can be used to soften skin and smell great. Use caution in the amount used, too much skin care oil can cause clogged pores and greasy skin.

A skin care oil will take longer to absorb than a lotion or cream. Allow the oil to sit for at least twenty minutes before wiping off any remaining residue. Oils are best used at night for maximum effectiveness.

Some popular skin care oils include wheat germ oil which contains high levels of vitamin E and D. Soy calendula oil has natural anti- inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Avocado oil also provides vitamin E and is rich in anti-oxidants which help prevent damage caused by free radicals.
